COMPAIR will hold a series of breakfast seminars in November 2008 to outline a new compressor product.
The company will provide information on the Quantima unit and its potential applications at roadshow events in Sydney, Melbourne and Launceston.
The manufacturer says the compressor has only one moving part which spins in a magnetic field and can reduce energy costs by up to 25% and greenhouse emissions by up to 35%.
One such unit has been installed at Murray Goulburn Co-operative’s Leongatha dairy plant in Victoria. According to the developer, after five months it had already cut energy and maintenance costs by $147,000 and reduced carbon discharge by 1900t.
The company says a 300kW Quantima device could reduce carbon emissions by 2000t over ten years, the equivalent of taking 75 cars off the road or planting 16,000 trees.
The shows will continue on to Brisbane in February 2009, Adelaide and Perth in March and finally to Auckland, New Zealand in May. The developer says a renowned international expert will present the sessions.
Registration for the events is now open. The company says anyone who registers before 22 October will go into the draw to win one of seven iPhones.
