CONTINENTAL Automotive Systems has opened a new production plant specialising in hydraulic brake systems in Changshu Southeast Economic Development Zone, China.
The facility will produce systems like front and rear callipers, drum brakes and brake actuators.
The company invested RMB600m (approximately $A91.5m) into the 25,000 square metre factory.
The manufacturer plans to increase the plant’s production capacity to five million calipers and 2.4m actuation units by 2011.
