SEMCO Equipment Sales says a local company has used a Nemetz hydraulic power sliding side shift system to overcome backhoe problems associated with inflicting collateral damage.
According to Semco, earthworks requiring trenches or holes close to public spaces, roadside services, walls or other structures often present a challenge to backhoe operators. On such projects backhoes can inflict damage on footpaths, grass verges and roadside vegetation.
The designer of the Nemetz system says it is easy to operate, reliable and can be retro fitted to existing machines. With it operators can work close to walls or other obstacles, saving time and effort caused by having to move the machine.
Semco, a Terex backhoe distributor says it has fitted the Nemetz power side shift to several of its Terex 880 backhoes for use in road works, as the feature benefits customers involved in infrastructure works which need to operate around curb and gutters.
Semco says the availability of the Nemetz hydraulic side shift option has further enhanced the Terex 880’s reputation within Australia.
The Nemetz option features a heavy welded structure, custom designed dual Rexroth pump hydraulics, spacious well laid out controls in the integrated ROPS/level 2 FOPS cabin, good cross flow ventilation and larger tyres.
