ELIOTT Engineering has upgraded the control systems on their hydraulic brake presses.
Their supplier, Power Machinery, retrofitted the equipment with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems.
According to the company, the machines were previously fitted with 13 to 15 year-old Cybelec control systems. The units are used for a variety of applications from sheet metal work to engineering for railways and mining.
The metal worker claims the Urvisken machines they use have a long lifespan. Replacing the control equipment was a simpler way of reducing costs and downtime than buying new presses.
