AUTOMATED Motion Systems has launched a rectilinear potentiometer to provide analogue position feedback in hydraulic or pneumatic actuators.
The ELTRA EPLB precision rectilinear potentiometer range is available in eight models with stroke lengths from 50 to 500mm.
The company says the resistance can be easily measured and converted into four to 20mA signals, as well as other standard instrumentation signals. The unit has an independent linearity of 0.05%.
According to the manufacturer, the device has a rugged construction and mechanical mounting with IP-65 rated protection. It also has ball joints on each end to compensate for angular misalignment.
