COMPRESSED Air Australia is distributing PIPETITE Pneumatic Grommets, said to be the latest sealing technology for use on air line penetrations through sheet steel.
The Pneumatic Grommet’s base incorporates a groove suitable for sheet steel up to three millimetres thick. Using the same penetration hole size allows design uniformity and neat installation lines.
According to Compressed Air Australia, the Pneumatic Grommet allows the tube to move significantly without causing damage or breaking the seal between the sheet and the tube. Silicone is not required during installation.
Compressed Air Australia says the Pneumatic Grommet can be used for penetrations through machine sides, solenoid panels and wall plates amongst others. It is available in four sizes to suit six, eight, ten and 12mm pneumatic tubes.
The Pneumatic Grommet is IP-66 and IP-68 rated and can withstand temperatures up to 260 degrees Celsius.
