HONEYWELL has introduced the Zephyr HAF series of digital airflow sensors, said to deliver the industry’s most accurate airflow reading across the operating range of the sensor.
Honeywell claims the Zephyr HAF series devices provide accurate digital output, enhanced reliability, and repeatable measurements. The sensors are designed to measure mass flow of air and other non-corrosive gases. They are available in standard flow ranges, and are fully calibrated and temperature compensated.
Accuracy is said to be at 2.5%, for precise airflow measurement. It can be customised in design to meet specific end-user needs, and has high sensitivity at very low flows.
Honeywell says the Zephyr HAF instrument is highly stable, helping reduce errors due to thermal effects and null shift. This stability can also reduce the need for system calibration.
Application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC)-based I2C digital output is said to improve compatibility with microprocessors or microcontrollers, helping ease production requirements.
