Hydraulic presses cover a range of metal applications

FRENCH-manufacturer MIB-Hydro has released a range of four-column or arch style hydraulic presses for sheet and plate metalworking.

The presses range from 100 to 2000t and have large frames with bronze guides and graphic inserts for a smooth movement. It has steel cylinders with hardened chromium plated rods and a guidance system with polyurethane seals.

The company says the presses are single, double or triple acting and are equipped with a hydraulic cushion. They can be used to form a wide variety of components and parts for the food processing, agricultural and heavy engineering applications.

They can be used for all types of stamping, forming, cutting, deep drawing, levelling, cambering or bending operations on a wide variety of materials including, mild steel, special alloys, stainless steel and rubber.

As an example of the range’s capabilities, according to the manufacturer, a 400t slide force is provided by two 200t thrust cylinders controlled by a PLC. An off-centre force is provided by servo-valves. Its slide stroke is 1000mm with a maximum 2700mm distance between the tables. The working speed is 15mm per second.

The machines can also be supplied with de-stacking devices, double blank controls, rotating or circular lubrication and high speed transfer systems.
