MILLSOM Materials Handling has released a range of CNC Vacuum Blocks for the VC-K1 vacuum clamping systems.
The VC-K1 vacuum clamping system is designed with a single vacuum circuit for CNC woodworking machines, Millsom Materials Handling says.
According to Millsom Materials Handling, the CNC Vacuum Blocks have a height of 85mm, as opposed to existing suction blocks with 50mm heights. The new models are mechanically fixed on the consoles of the machining centre to prevent them from moving while the workpiece is being positioned.
Millsom Materials Handling says once the workpiece has been placed on the blocks and the vacuum has been switched on, the suction blocks and the workpiece are clamped precisely and securely to the consoles.
According to Millsom Materials Handling, the 85mm CNC Vacuum Blocks were developed to provide better access and more free space for operations, such as five-axis machining of complex workpieces.
