EXAIR has launched the modular E-Vac vacuum generators, a series of low cost, compressed air vacuums with instantaneous response.
According to the company, the vacuums can be used for lifting, pick and place, clamping, chucking and surface mounting applications.
They are available in various sizes, with different vacuum levels and flow rates. Two styles are available. There are seven low vacuum variants providing up to 71kPa, generating more airflow to overcome porosity and leakage.
The other seven are high vacuum units with up to 91kPa for non-porous materials.
Constructed from aluminium, the products are said to be compact and easy to install at the point of use.
The manufacturer claims the units are maintenance-free and have no moving parts to wear out. The single-stage design reduces air consumption, providing increased cycle speeds and eliminating fluctuations in the vacuum.
