FESTO has released two pneumatic linear actuators with high torque operation.
The DGC units are available in eight cylinder sizes from eight to 63mm and offer speeds up to three metres per second, torque up to 1870N and stroke lengths up to five metres.
The company says the devices have a unique angled-sealing mechanism between the carriage drive and the actuator body. This prevents virtually all air leakage.
According to the manufacturer, the unit can be fitted with three different carriage guides, each suited to certain applications. The options use plain polymer, rail-mounted or stainless steel cage bearings to handle different loads.
